The Brief Of Banten
Province.
Geographically Banten lies near from west java and sumatra island. Banten
situated among sumatra, west java and Jakarta with it 9.308.344 population
in 2005. Slightly off center and running to the west, there are famous
Krakatau volcano which last erupted in 1883.
Lying just 8 degree south of equator, Banten boasts a tropical climate
with just two season, wet and dry all year and average annual
temperature of around 28 degree celcius. The wide and gently sloping
southern hilly, northern coastal region, the main product are coffee ,
vegetable, etc.
The Bantenese people have strong spiritual roots and their culture is
still alive. The main religion is Islam / Moslem which arrive in banten
with the spread of Islam through Sumatra and Sulawesi 15th century.
Although originally from Arab, the bantenese religion is unique a large
number of countries, artist, musician and creating fine art.
The majority of Banten's 2.5 millions people live for the most part in
tight village communities with large extended family. The largest town
are the capital Serang, Cilegon and Tanggerang in the south.
The main tourist area is Anyer beach. This small sleepy village become a
major attraction because of its famed white sand, beaches and water
sport creation.
Banten Great Mosque and Temple.
Of Serang regency side by
side as religious tolerance harmony. The great Mosque was built by
Sultan maulana yusuf in 1566. Not only prepared as Islam development
center in Banten, but also complement the sultanate government building.
Chinese temple built in the early years of banten sultanate, about 50
meters from Speelwijk fortress.
Taman Nasional
Ujung Kulon.
Ujung kulon national park
is one of the world national conservation declared by UNESCO as one of
the world heritage site. Observe the natural tropical forest, if you try
harder could found the rare single horn rhino, bird and muncang rusa.
The grazing area of buffaloes peacock and specific animal completed by
beautiful island around for diving.

Gunung Krakatau.
Krakatau Volcano lies in
Sunda strait, easily reached from anyer-carita beach by speedboat. The
famous eruption was in 1883, the blast can be heard in south australia
and colombo. Even the hot clouds (phyroclastic clouds) were smolder for
a weak and reach European. The new volcano began emerged for the first
time to surface in 1928 and still active. That "kids" of krakatau last
small eruption is in 2007.

krakatau volcano, the new 75.5 meter high lighthouse was built in anyer
beach. at the starting point if 1000 Km Deandels road, connecting Anyer
to Panarukan made on year 1881. Tanjung lesung and Umang island area
also is the good destination in southern of the shore.
Pantai Sawarna
( Southern Banten Long Beach).
Ciantir and Tanjung layar
beach are the most favourite tourism destination in Sawarna, with
spectacular waves for surfing.
Masyarakat
Baduy dan Cisungsang.
Baduy are
consisting of two part, inner and outer Baduy. Live in harmony
with nature. avoid modern live while neither of them rich nor
poor so they never jealous to each other.
Cisungsang
community lives in Cibeber, Lebak regency 165 Km from
Rangkasbitung . Covers an area of 28 square kilometers. Rengkong,
Angklung buhun and bendorong lesung are popular
attraction.
