Pangandaran Beach

Pangandaran is a small town and a district south of Ciamis Regency, West Java, Indonesia. It is situated on the south coast of Java. Pangandaran is a popular tourist destination, especially among foreign workers / expatriate. Pangandaran has a beach that is considered as one of the best in Java and have waves suitable for surfing.

A kite festival held on the beach in July every year. Population etempat usually use a kite at night to catch bats to be eaten or used in Chinese medicine.

If you will visit Pangandaran, there is a local belief that wearing green clothing in this area will make Nyi Loro Kidul angry, and would bring misfortune.

Things to do in Pangandaran
Many tourists who just want to relax or swim at the beach when they visit Pangandaran. For those of you who have enough time, maybe you can visit other interesting objects around Pangandaran like Batu Karas, Green Canyon, batik on Jl. Pananjung roe and others.
